A mere 42% reduction in pax numbers on a subsidised flight brilliant business Derry style! Yes lets add a 3rd subsidised rotation. Locals voting with their wallets you cannot get a seat on an Airporter bus!

BFS_Voyeur. Yet another wonderfully pointless post from you. Your airport is doing well. Why the bitterness towards BHD and LDY? The cost of the clean-up of the recent cultural festivities in our wee country would subsidise LDY for years.

As for not getting a seat on Airporter, you are, as always talking sh!te. Have a wee look and do a dummy booking (should be easy, and apt) for a week today. You'll see there are an awful lot of seats available.

Now. See if you can be a good boy and not post a negative comment on the BHD or LDY threads for a whole week. You'll feel better for it.

A 42% reduction maybe, but if the 4,200 contains a lot of business traffic making use of double the frequency and day return options it's of greater use to the local economy than a load of people going to see the family for £30.

Spot on AirportPlanner1. Judging by the prices, one last minute booking with BMIR is monetarily equivalent to five or more advanced bookings with FR.

Thanks Scodaman!

Would be great if CODA could get the likes of Stobart to do once daily to a London airport for the regular punter, with the business users still benefiting from the twice daily BMI flights.

Another cancelled BMIR return trip to Stansted this evening. I assume a lot of the PSO money they're getting is paying for hotels and transfers for the passengers affected. I wonder what the excuse is this time? Shambles.

Yeah bizarre one that. I'm 15 miles down the road and hearing all about the flooding in the Derry area. Bone dry here right now, not a single area flooded.

Wonder what caused all the flooding up there? It's very localised.

Two to three inches of water falling out of the sky caused it. Severe thunderstorms across
the west of Northern Ireland. How you missed it from 15 miles away is a mystery.

Well I did. I'm just outside Limavady. If you check the news all the flooding is in Derry.

I don't need to read the news to see where the flooding is. I'm more amazed by the Limavady weathershield. Both Derry and International airports reported thunderstorms for several hours last night, yet Limavady, in the middle, missed it. Amazing stuff.

Um, I didn't say we missed the rain. It rained here for several hours.

It just didn't flood. As I said I was surprised when I woke up to find that Eglinton airport flooded, and wondered how that could happen? Can't remember the last time that ever happened.

Thunderstorms by their nature are highly localised and intensity can vary vastly in small areas.

Not like we are debating whether it happened or not anyway.

No doubt you'll be giving us lessons in column shear, CAPE and vorticity next. Last night's storms were not localised as they were not airmass convection. They were on a squall line attached to a cold front. Have a look at Barra Best's twitter account for a look at how utterly not localised they were.

The flooding was mostly in Derry and obviously coincided with the Spring Tide.

Again, localised and vastly varying in intensity.
