What happened to Smile Air?

Have they shut down before flying? both 744s still in Tehran and have been re-registered under Iran.

Devil AOC ??

Did they ever get one ? last I heard they were going to operate ATR's, but there are some rather poorly photoshopped Russian turboprops on their facebook page.
Winning the accolades of prospective employee's on social media does not an airline make.

Snoop Smoke up West African Arses......

I was on the ramp in Tehran on the 9th of September.

Both 400's parked off the hard standing to the right of the ramp surrounded by concrete bollards/barriers.

One painted in Smile colours the other all white.

Truth is that decades of non-approved MRO maintenance (Iran Air) could not be solved by a fish dinner and a "bag of tea".

Non-approval due to US sanctions - nothing to do with the competence of Iran Air maintenance personnel. Jeez, they keep those clapped out A300's flying....that is saying something!!!

Some little Johnny did not do their due diligence.

I was on the ramp and layover more than once in Accra last month - not even a sign/advertisement about them anywhere nor knowledge of them from ramp staff.....go figure???

The facebook page is pitched at "starry eyed" FA wannabes.

Check out the other thread regarding Smile Air.....
