gps garmin pilot lll plus

Hi fellows,

I am in trouble with my "GARMIN pilot lll plus" device that i got for free.

How can i update it with south african map ?
Or simply download african maps ?

garmin stopped suporting this unit years ago.
it will make a nice door stop...

Hi Khumla,

afaik, there is no Garmin Pilot III+. You should either have a Pilot III (the aviation version) or a III+ (non-aviation version).

If Pilot III is concerned, you can still update
Garmin: GPS III Pilot Updates & Downloads
and also buy some African map coverage:
https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/shop.../prod5224.html

It's a tiny and easy to use device, also good as a back-up with its battery power supply.
