African G-159's
Does the G-1 operated for Phenix Midway still fly out of PHNL? I toured it a couple of years ago at Castle & Cooke's hangar there. It was in great shape, too.
Is there a sim still available?

FlightSafety in Savannah still has the G1 sim but it is only used by operators of G1's. FlightSafety no longer has a G1 program.

Two G1's sitting at Lubumbashi Ndolo, regs and serial numbers.
Small edit, N'Dolo airport is in Kinshasa....basically the downtown airport there. N'djili is the large one on the outskirts of Kinshasa that most international flights use. N'Dolo (& Kinshasa) are on the western side of the country, while Lubumbashi is in the SE corner.

Your website and the work you put into it is phenomenal.

P4-JML serial 076
Very Heavy thunderstorm at night soft field 120nm SE Luanda.
Co Pilot flying lost it on base, recovered but forgot the gear in the process.
Left prop blade penetrated the fuselage
Cables were wrapped around the prop hubs and it was dragged off the strip into the forest. No one injured. What was left after the parting was burned a month later

G 1
What mobotu said is 100 % correct.the G1 is my favorite aircraft up to now.best looking turboprop.the one in lubumbashi of katanga express is reg N159GS.
I flew 9Q-CBY.and I am proud of I flew 9Q-CTC s/n001.
The 2 G1 from Angola were scrapped at Lanseria in SA.
It would be nice if you can get some pictures of 9Q-CFK.

News from Ndolo...
Sorry G1pilot I was in a phone booth changing costumes.......
9Q-CNP is former 3X-GGI SN 164 having recently changed registrations to satisfy the local Congolese Authorities.....
9Q-CTG SN 134 is the second aircraft standing at Kinshasa Ndolo although it has had it's engines run recently unlike it's brother although again the problem with returning it to flight appears to be with local Aviation Authorities.....

Thanks for the info on 9Q-CNP and 9Q-CTG.
The TC-4C's at DM are not for sale. Within the last year, only one remains where there were 6. I have heard, the five that were moved were to be scrapped if they haven't already been.

I have noticed in a recent Google Earth image, the ramp at Kinshasa Ndjili has been cleaned up and most of the aircraft stored there have either been moved or scrapped. Does anyone know if the G-159 N717RA has been scrapped?
Here are two pics

Thanks
