Beech 1900 Accident

Has anyone heard anything about a Beech 1900 missing? It was supposed to be coming out of South Africa headed to Senegal.

On ferry to Mali, single pilot.
Missing just out of São Tomé.
Bad news, sounds like no wreckage?

Bad news indeed. Apparently it crashed 9 miles off the coast in Sao Tome. Single pilot ferry.

My condolences,

Still missing for now, but after 8 days I guess hope of a happy ending is fading.

A website has been setup by his family. According to the news, Sao Tomé didn't initiate the ALNOT and search until 24hrs later !!
link to the family site : FindJerry.com | Help Us Find Jerry
News article: Family of US pilot: Sao Tome officials waited 24 hours to report him missing, start searching - Washington Post
Also the director of Civil Aviation of Senegal was fired allegedly in response to this Crash ?? Maybe it has something to do with the murky contracts by Senegal Airlines with Sahel Air Service. Some are saying that the final destination was Dakar and not Bamako, Mali. ? The African Aviation Tribune ?: ? SENEGAL: Atoumane Fall, DG of Civil Aviation Authority, fired as a result of the 1900D crash in São Tomé & Principe.
