FastJet assessment
Hi all. Anyone have any up to date information with regards as to what to expect during the assessment at the CTC Crew Training Centre for FastJet . Looking for type of interview questions, sim profile etc for an A320 series Captain. I've searched the forums, but can't find any information.

I never pass the first part of the selection which is for cadet pilots and no professionals, you need to co through all this so you will not be surprised from this. There was not pilot in this procedure only HR ladies...!!!!

Confirm screen date 1 involves Pilapt? (do you have any description? Psychometric personality or numerical,intelligence,English version?Psychomotor also?
screen date 2 : Group challenge? Involving what aspects of working for Fasjet?? The boat crash on a reef I assume involves rescue material and survival plan?
Screen date 3: Sim profile ?? Involves flying the A319 in normal and abnormal modes ? with autopilot/FD or manual raw data? Engine flame out at take off? APU/Engine fire during approach? Airbus checklist?Is crew pairing with [roficient A319 crew or both newbies?Any written test for previously A320type rated candidates? Any oral ATPL type questions?mini ATPL written test?
Let's try and collect as much data as possible.

1st day 1st hour, Pillat test, 2nd hour group test. If you pass interview with the HR ladies and then 2nd day sim test(easy one) hopefully without the HR ladies.!! Ps. I never maded to the interview.

Somemore background information on the whole affair. A very good site to keep up to date with East African aviation by the way.
Heard the Jetlink-rumour as well from two different sources. That should suffice to make the rumour become a truth, right?

Thanks.I know the jetlink hell hole too well.Fastjet doesn't know what it is getting itself..it is the case "from fring pan to fire".Fastjet desires the lucrative NAirobi hub and Kenya market no doubt but THe pride of Africa that is kq operates ike the od BA dirty tricks trade when Virgin tried to encroach on its territory.GUess who KCAA will side by...we have seen the kikes of one-jet-one come at full thrust and made an exit at MCT thrust! It wi be another matter is FAst JEt courts the MInistry of tourism and major safari firms for group charter safari packages to-fro europe\asia...but local LCC..its going to be a steep obstacle I think!

"Fast Jet, the African budget airline backed by Easy Jet founder Stelios said yesterday it was sole owner of the fly 540 brand, following a dispute over its ownership. David Lenigas, chairman of Fast Jet and chairman of 540 aviation limited confirms that Fast Jet is the sole owner of fly 540 brand, including fly 540 Kenya, which it acquired through its acquisition of Lonhro Aviation in July 2012", Fast jet said in a statement.

Thanks for your update.That was the understood deal.What is not understood is why the dispute on the $6.9M payment with Fly540 kenya? Why talks of reposseing the A319 fleet?+hy the sudden impasse and recruitment freeze?Have the local dailies posted any hard facts about linkage with defunct jetlink? Can you post these too?THanks (are you a Fly540 driver?)
