43 Air School iATP only ATP theoretical Exams and nt PPL and CPL??

I am joining 43 Air School for the iATP program. There they provide ATP theoretical ground school and directly appear for ATP theoretical exams, rather than appearing for PPL then CPL then ATPL.
Any advice whether to join or not.

Go for it

I would highly recommend you go for it. In the end you'll have a frozen ATPL meaning once you clock the required hours your license becomes an ATPL plus 43 air school is a good school.
Cheers

I'm not too sure if you can still do this. I remember a few years back the CAA changed things around and you could write your PPL exams and then go straight away and right your ATP exams without doing your COMM exams... Now to go from nothing to straight ATP doesnt make any sense, im sure the CAA have gone back to the old way of SPL to PPL to COMM to ATPL.

But I could be wrong, you'll have to check with the CAA on this one.

It means that once I go back to another country, I will be able to convert the license to that country's License. Or will I face difficulties in the conversion process. I am probably going to convert to Qatari License.

Also is South Africa safe for Indian nationals???

Supposedly Durban has the highest concentrated population of "indians" outside India... so yep you will be safe here. You may even prefer it to home!

The integrated course you plan on doing... is it 150 or 200 hours? If it's the former, I'm not too sure how easy it will be to convert to a Qatari license.

43rd is a very good school... and they charge accordingly...

I was at 43 and loved it. I left before they introduced the integrated program though.

From what I've read it looks like a great program. I'd suggest you check with the country you want to convert to before starting the course. As I understand you finish with a Frozen ATPL. Not sure if this will allow you to get a CPL in other countries. Not everywhere has a recognized frozen ATPL status.

Otherwise good luck.

Qatar follows JAA syllabus so, fATP is the min qualification required by the Qatar Airways.
And iATP program is a 200 hrs program...
104 hrs on cherokee 140/180
41 hrs on piper arrow
31 hrs on seneca

If you want to save your parents a bit of cash, then change from doing a twin comm twin IF, to a single comm twin IF... at the end of the day you still have the same licence, you just save about 15hrs of Seneca time, but you will need an extra 5-10hrs on an arrow doing a single day comm on it. Email 43 and ask them for the difference in costs.
