Around Africa

I have this crazy idea of circumnavigating Africa in some prop. With some other stuff to do in the meantime.
Did anyone do this before (sure did)? What about overflight permits? Must be horror...
And fuel? What flight planning software do you suggest for starting a raw estimate? And well, any info is welcome...

THX a lot!

Hi,

we have helped a few pilots on their trips through Africa, some of them were circumnavigating round the world .. like CarolAnne Garrat who lately finished her round the world tour and Peter Groman and Essam Bishara who flew from Ireland to South Africa in a Maule !

Feel Free to PM if you need any help and between our services are all voluntary as a group of aviation enthusiasts and professionals who are trying to encourage GA in Egypt, Africa and Middle East !

Best Regards
