Post Job Situation

Can anyone tell me what is the current job situation is for regarding to newly qualified commercial pilots in South Africa? Are there many jobs available? If so who?

Unfortunately, the competition is tough in SA at this stage, even guys with 1000 hrs + are struggling to get jobs. Try contacting a company called Solenta, they operate Caravans in some African countries, I don't know any contact details for you mate.

What I suggest, is to create the work for youself to get some time running. Try getting an instructor rating and work as an instructor at one of the many schools in SA.

Don't do this if you are not interested in teaching and be sure to know your theory and flying skill very well before considering it.

Instruction can be very satisfying, but don't be part of the statistic of the many guys that don't know anything about flying themselves, attempting to give instruction.

Good luck mate, and e-mail me for any help/questions. Let me know how it goes !

Cheers & happy hunting.
