Post Internet and other conditions in PNR

Can anyone provide any insight into the living conditions in Point Noire. I've been suckered into a very short term contract leaving for there this week and have been promised "good, clean acceptable hotel accomodations.

Is this possible there?

Also, is it possible to connect to the internet while in the Congo?

Many Thanks,

DI3G

Don't expect too much. Just that the preferred means of transport there is by plane, since travelling by land is almost impossible(bandits, rebels, dirt roads). I'd probably expect no internet connection(although I was fortunate enough not to spend the night there). Expect to meet a lot of Russians flying their trade over there.
