Cancellation of SAA Flight

Cancellation of SAA Flight
G'day all,
I posted this on the pax/SLF forum but did not rx an answer.
Can anyone tell me why SAA would cancel a flight 8 days prior to it's schedule. ie SA280 JNB-PER on 04/07.
I now have to wait until 06/07 in LAD for the next available flight out with a next day connection from JNB to PER. ARRRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!
Don't mind the o'nites in JNB but this place is sending me bonkers.
