Monoplane Excursion at Manchester Barton

Looks like a small monoplane has been involved in an incident at Barton, hope the pilot recovers well as it looks like he’s received some serious injuries.

Reading the statement by the Fire Chief it seems he has been reading the same Biggles books as Vince of Dundee fame.

Good luck to the pilot in this case, the Taylor can be an unforgiving little sod if the speed gets too low after an engine failure, if its' the Taylor I've seen in the hangar at Barton she was a lovely little aircraft.

Bit of an assumption, but as there is no confirmation either way, I think it may be G-BEYW

Hope the pilot recovers quickly. As a new pilot (whose home base is Barton), it would be helpful to know the cause!
