Strike Eagle or Superhornet offer a wider variety of weaponry, paired with a more capable AESA radar for starters. Case in point the Strike Eagle can carry LGB, JDAM, LJDAM, SDB, JSOW, JASSM, SLAM-ER, Harpoon.
As we speak the Typhoon brings PW4, which whilst it is flexible like a LJDAM, can only do so much.
I don't think that anyone would be arguing that a Typhoon is more advanced by the F-35 either.. Except BAE.
