The great majority of the examples used to describe the fuel burn rates are nearly all West going East. Everyone know the prevailing winds are West/ NW, tail nearly wind every time.
I might be reading the data incorrectly but aren't the figures that Up-Into-the-Air quotes for flights from East to West?
Or are you trying to say there is data that looks much worse than the data UITA refers to here?
