Pax weight.
I recall that in early '52 I flew Heathrow/Orly with BEA (Ambassadors). In those days you booked in at the Victoria Air Terminal and they put you on ths scales as well as your luggage.
Presumably they kept a running total of the pax load. What happened when it hit the stops I don't know. Don't think Air France was much worried at the Aerogare des Invalides on the way back !
