I just had a look on WebTrak | Airservices

and dialled up the appropriate date and time but could not see anything there that fits your description.I'm not saying it wasn't there,just that it doesn't seem to have been recorded.
Yes, I looked there. Doesn't go that high.

I did find an interesting site that shows radar tracks for SE QLD Flight Data for South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales but it seems to be a one-off enthusiast DIY endeavour.
