Question 1. Just how do you manage to damage the #2 engine on an MD11 with a heavy landing without doing serious damage to the supporting structure under the engine?
Question 2. Where did they manage to find an engine if they owe (as rumoured) P&W something in the region of 1.5 mil?
Also rumoured they managed to damage the wing tip during the heavy landing.
Are they now down to just the one MD11, Has the 10 been laid up?
