RMK - if The Grove is only a "quite nice hotel", what sort of hotel do you give an unqualified review to? It's almost sounding like you'd prefer to pay Battersea's landing and parking fees (even if they have reduced them 20% for light singles). LOL

Nelly - another option that springs to mind would be the Hilton at Cobham, but get your taxi to Weybridge station and not Cobham for a swifter journey into town. Or the Oatlands Park Hotel in Weybridge?

griffothefog - yes, and the CAA are banning flying helicopters within X million miles of London for the duration of the Games unless your name has a Z in it, you've filled out a raft of online forms on a day with an Q in it, at least five weeks in advance, etc etc (well, not quite, but...)
