But the same time when u say you should allow hundred percent foreign investment in airlines in India, it should be for the good of airlines here.
If you let airlines like emirates invest in India, probably airlines like indigo , jet will also shut down.
I agree to your view point on air India. They have reached a point where they can never make profit.i think it is better we use our tax money on better things like improving our infrastructure, health care etc rather than paying salary to bunch of idiots in air India.
Jet is making money in international sectors now ! Dont you think that is because they have lost the plot to Indigo an spice jet . It is a fact that there jetliner and jet konnect did not do enough to compete with indigo or spice. The fact is airlines should also control costs. That s the only way airlines in a country like india where there are no oil reserves to boast about like middle east could survive. Air India definitely is out of this league. They have lost it. So is India on makin an international transit hub.
The next few years in aviation would be critical as middle east airlines and airports are getting more and more strong and historically dominant airlines staring to face the heat. And what is the role of India in this? Well I think it is upto our politicians to decide. But in the rat race to make money they are also lost on doing what is good for the country.
