So far as is known nothing new on Amelias last flight has as yet been added than was already known or been produced during the years 1940 - 2007 The items found on the island of Nikumaroro included these -
Partial heel from female shoe of type worn in the 30s
skeleton bones beleived to be female - probably European
Bronze bearings - and piece of flexiglass window - possibly Electra
Zipper pull of type used on flight suits
Part of alumnium panel
The renewed search - with latest hi tech equipment - will be concentrating on the waters around the Island in hopes they will finally recover the Electra
or its wreckage.
