Foreign Applicants - Transport Canada
For any Canadian carrier you will more than likely need to have the Canadian licence in hand in order to apply. That means you will have to spend some time and effort doing that on your own time and dime.
I do not know of any company in Canada that will go through the hassle of obtaining a work permit for a Non-Canadian when so many Canadian pilots are looking for employment. You will need permanent residency status to even be considered.
Your experience would put you in good standing for consideration at many companies including WestJet and Air Canada.
Good luck with your decision.
