My Boeing test pilot buddy responds wrt the 787 not having winglets:
"The raked wings accomplish the same purpose without the extra weight and drag."
Dassault has finally changed their tune by having winglets on the Falcon 7X. I wonder if any next generation wing designs by them will not have winglets?
