Let me touch on further (besides CAAS) on academic requirement.
The Chinese and South Korean immigration are even silly! On top of a pilot's licence (even with thousands flying hours on big boy), these immigrations require all applicants armed with minimum Bachelor's Degree before they will issue work visa! Damn bloody stupid isn't it?
"No Bachelor's Degree = no visa" - simple as that!
