This has probably pushed GLA further in front re 'Hub' status for Scotland.
I was at a Scottish ministerial briefing on the airports strategy the other day and the idea of creating one hub over the other is really not on the agenda, despite the FoA report
I have been a bit entranced by this idea of ministers "creating" a hub at either EDI or GLA. Surely it is up to airlines to create hubs, not politicians? Hubs are created by basing a/c at an airport and by interlining routes.

The only airport that has an operator with enough a/c at a Scottish airport right now is Ryanair at Prestwick. I don't think they are too keen on interlining, but this is the nearest that Scotland will have to a hub for a long time.
