I always thought my situation was bad then I look at others. I have a heavy turboprop type on licence(not current), I fly another turboprop freelance and get paid very well, instruct and examine. I can drive a lorrry and coach if I need to. No debt whatsover.
I turned down the Farnair process as there was no way I was going to give them 30000 euro's for an ATR without a guarantee. Can't afford it anyway. Thank christ SSTR is not an option for me.
The same with eastern having to hand over large amounts of cash and get paid less than your loan amount!!!
Its all very well if the job goes well but what if one day your not needed you'll still need to make those loan repayments.
