Further to what Lasiorhinus said, DO NOT repeat DO NOT go to CASA for your ASIC. You will be dealing with the most inept bureaucrats ever to be given issuing body status.

Use either Aviation ID Australia | Professional ASIC Distribution Centre or Security ID - Home Page not sure if the second one processes for overseas applicants.
