What real value
1) if I recall correctly, for early flights of a totally new aircraft, manufacturers install an escape chute from e.g. the maindeck through the forward cargo door
2) likely the most representative crashes are those that have actually happened occasionally. Crashing on AP from normal flight into a desert likely does not fulfill this criteria.
