As far as I remember, if they did not change things, they will provide for you the very first day something to snack on (small cereal bag, milk biscuits, small bottle of juice). So you needn't worry about food the very first day. Usually, if you do not want to go all the way to the large shopping malls (lulu, city centre...) by taxi, there are plenty of small grocery shops
usually around the accommodations.
