'a joint CAA/MoD organisation' and had no employees of its own. Although the existing MACC Ops Room was fitted out in the early 1990s, it was expected to be retired before the then new airport ATC contract ran out in 2003. (The plan at that time was for Swanwick to open in winter 1996/7!)
