The A380 has a better take off performance than a 747,

and those used to operate direct from BHX to Toronto with Wardair..Therefore it could operate to DXB as it would be nowhere near max take off weight in either fuel or passengers.

Whether it would be viable with BHX normal load of 773er passengers on a 380 is another matter.
