Recently, at the airport where I keep my private aeroplane, someone tried to break into a hangar and steal the contents...which included a KingAir 350.
The aircraft owner caught the SOB, beat the cr*p out of him with a tire iron, called the police, and said perp is now residing in the maximum security lockup in the Maricopa County jail (Sheriff Joe Arpiao, in charge), awaiting trial.
The US Attorney is now in charge of the case, the the guy faces a 20 year term in the Federal pen, if convicted.

A similar scenario should be used in the UK, for such malcontents as noted above....IE: beat the cr*p out of 'em then throw 'em in the clink.
