Having spent many years flying Police ops here's my two penn'orth.
Real bobbies would rather be talking to real bobbies in the aircraft. Plus there
were times when we landed and an arrest was made by the (real) bobby from the aircraft. My personal feeling is that Police units should be staffed by members of Her Majesty's Constabulary. But that's just my personal feeling.
