Talking of white cans.........In peak seasons TAA used to operate an L188A Electra LAE-BNE non-stop , a 4.35 hour sector . The gathering place for staff was the six seat lounge at the rear of the cabin . It was here that many attempts were made to break " Argus " Armstrong's record of 16 Cans consumed. Came close once with the help of Gary Anderson and Mike Hage but Jimmy Pike ( Lae Catering ) had forgotten to load sufficient dry ice and we ended up with warm cans.
