I do agree that grabbing the books is usually faster than working with the portable entertainment system.
But for the companies, it's definately worth it. Just imagine the savings you get when you can abandon 80% of the amendment services and keep everybody up to date with one or two network servers...
However, now suddenly it is the pilot himself who is responsible for the validity of the data and keeping it up to date... hardly anyone noticed that...
