Currently, crewing do not have a huge choice of crew to utilise on APT and AVL during disruptions. The restructure would give them greater choice and they will be calling crew with the lowest hours to avoid paying more than necessary. Do not be fooled into thinking otherwise as crewing have KPIs to meet as well.

Well said. I knew as soon as I heard it at the roadshow that what you said is true. I actually think it will be, if you do get the chance to work over 140 hours in 28 days, that it is unrealistic to do so - too tiring and yes, they'll call crew with less hours. In other words, no chance for making extra money. In other words, available days are gone with no supplement.
Remember 28 day rosters are coming regardless of this EBA outcome. I heard it at the roadshow and its on the intranet, as a statement, in the 'questions and answers' section under the EBA section.

We do not have an obligation to vote away current conditions simply because other airlines are offering their crew less than what we are currently earning.

At the roadshows, not only did they compare us to all three competitors' contracts, but also to other jobs such as nursing!!! Literally saying we have it better then others both in our industry and out, so we should stop complaining. Unfortunately management have a different idea about things.
Thanks for clearing the base pay question. Good posts everyone
