Ghost, you could try pleading your case to HR at Maastricht. It really depends on how high your chances look on paper, also how many applicants there are. You could always write a letter stating the fact that you have fallen through the net this time, but that should the policy revert to the old one, you would wish to be considered.
Lying about your age is a definite no-no. It would be found out straight-away and would result in your application going directly into File 13.
