“PPrune members were appalled and disgusted by the so-called journalistic coverage of this tragic event. Numerous redundant, inaccurate and incorrect references to witnesses who did not see anything and quotes as a result phone calls to corporate receptionists by air headed sensationalists are not really considered as proper research by any normal standards. The lack of respect and deference for those who are feeling a sense personal loss and choose to confer with colleagues on an aviation forum is considered to be intrusive and, we might add, that references to these anonymous sources without verification shows a clear lack of ‘journalistic integrity’ a phrase considered to be oxymoronic by those aviation industry professionals who use this space.”
