My view is that we are where we are with Oban. Sure they could have achieved much of what was needed at a fraction of the cost but we cant turn the clock back.

The ops guys at Oban are trying hard to make you welcome. I've been over a couple of times of late (I suspect with a few of the other posters hiding behind pseudonames), its still a great place to visit and the scenery hasn't changed.

Also Paul is still there dispensing fuel, the GA community really should try to support him as much as possible its thanks to fuel at Oban that has opened up much of the rest of the west coast.

There was talk on the mega-thread of an Oban/Glenforsa flyin however that didn't come to much. Perhaps its time to resurrect these thoughts and show some positive support for the facility and people who's lively hood depends on it.
