Twenty years ago I was at Oakland completing my PPL and stuck out on the flight line one day I wandered over to another plane to speak to the passenger about something mundane ( where the nearest loo I suppose).
The passenger was waiting for his pilot and whilst chatting to me placed his hand over his mouth amd pulled his cap down lower which I thought a bit odd. He was chatty and we joked about this and that for a while before I toddled off.
It was only later that someone told me it was
Paul Newman - I thought I recognised something about him - he probally thought I was a stalker at first
A nice guy now sadly departed.
