I am training at Halton Aero Club and while yes, the air cadets get priority, we don't land on the glider side when the cadets are operating (the tugs do that). However, we do play second fiddle to them which means limited movements; some holding; and no circuits. That said, they are a decent lot and at least two of us have squeezed in first solos around air cadet operations recently without breaking any rules. Also, they only operate weekends and some weekdays in the school holidays. |
