There are plenty of individual points I'd nitpick, but that's missing the point - which is that some people (*) read this and think/assume/"know" that's the whole story.
Fact is, that longwinded comparison contains a LOT of opinions and perceptions that are open to question. If you'd like to read something factual, see my

That's why I enjoy this thread so much - we can gain a little knowledge of history and politics and economics from each other, and the hotheads have a chance to coolly examine alternate views. If they remain hotheads, they'll eventually be ignored.
