LeMurian, I ran CFPs for the B777 over a 10 hr sector.

Fuel Tankered 27270 kgs
Additional Fuel Burn 7772 Kgs
% of fuel burn increase 28.5%
10 hour sector = 2.85% per hour.

So your 40% over 11 hours appear on the high side for that aircraft!
