I have to disagree about Dame Shirley Bassey. I was a fellow passenger with her on a flight to JFK. She drove the cc mad with her demands. Wearing next to nothing, she constantly complained of being cold; so the cabin temperature was increased and the rest of us roasted.
Nicest people I have met during my career were the Duke of Westminster and Prince Michael of Kent. Despite their money and status, they were true unassuming gentlemen.
