With only 14 yrs on all the fbw's (except 380) by Airbus, I can say that in some occasions that I too have hit the stop.... but that has been on just 2 occasions out of 9k hrs on fbw. Bottom line, any aircraft in severe conditions will at some stage run out of lateral control... that is when the G/A is ideally called...well maybe a little before!
