Crosswind rule:

Sine of the angle - 30 degrees off - 0.5
45 degrees off - 0.7
60 degrees off - 0.9

e.g. A 30 kt wind 30 degrees off the runway track is 15 kts across; 45 degrees off is 21 kts across; 60 degrees off is 27 kts across.
