| I lived in Accra for several years (1998 - 2002) and visited for a few days recently. Certainly the Golden Tulip is a good choice (used to be my 'local') and the bar, pool area and restraurant have some character.
The little restaurant next to the Tulip - in the garage forecourt - has gone (shame - it was rather nice).
In my day Labardi Beach was worth a visit (particulalrly for the jazz night) and the relatively new large hotel just along from the Labardi beach, but I can't remember its name at the moment, had OK restaurants and pretty good service.
For food get into Osu (Irish pub, good chinese and a number of other restaurants).
Enjoy Accra - not a bad place at all. |
