AFAIK to start the course. You will, however, need the hours to get the CPL issued. Can't remember the number, but you'll find it in CAP 55 or 56 - can't remember which it is. Either way, you should read it, or preferably get your own copy. Your Flying Club/school should have a copy you can borrow.
