Just heard from a London based SFO that our staff travel benefits are to be replaced by Asia Miles. Apparently the company will "pay" us a set amount of Asia Miles each month...his view was that at least we could get a confirmed seat !
But, the tricky problem was how to pay 16% tax on the Asia miles...by donating 16% to the HKIR dept.
He was just joking ...right?
