Getting into Apron Control
Hello People
I am 18yrs old and have been a keen enthuast of Aviation since i was very young. I have just finished my A-levels studying 5 subjects and I am hoping to go into the Aviation Industry and follow my dream of becoming either an ATCO or Apron Controller.
Now i know that, ATCOs have to mainly go through NATS and this was my route after University..however, I am now contemplating after University to try and work in Apron Control, most specifically at Manchester Airport.
I was wondering...who in Manchester Airport is most appropiate to contact regarding training for Apron Control or information on how to get started? I am trying to get a part-time job for the majority of this summer at EGCC for me and a few mates.
In Yr11, I did my work experience at EGCC and went into many departments including: Apron Control and Control Tower, therefore I know what the environment is and what the required skills are.
Who is best to contact for information regarding Apron Control?
