KL

I stayed at the Nikko Hotel and it was fantastic. Maybe a little pricey but worth the extra. Its only a 10 min walk to the KL Towers and KLCC. Wouldnt recommend walking there at night though.
Taxis should only cost no more than 10 Ringgit (make sure the meter is on) to most parts of the city.
A visit to the Chinese Market is a must for all your knock off watches and designer stuff. Bargains to be had and the clothes arent too bad a quality.
Nightlife is quite lively!! The Beach is the most popular bar with westerners and its got its fair share of 'night fighters'. It even has sharks in a tank above the bar! You will get pestered by the ladies but they are very pretty and willing! (alledgedly).
There are lots of decent restaurants with every imaginable type of cuisine available. I can recommend the revolving restaurant at the top of the television tower (I cant remember its correct name)

Hope this helps
